Christopher Benavides is the founder of Time & Motion Study, the iOS and Android time study app used by more than one million people worldwide, and the author of Time & Motion Study: From Stopwatch to Smartphone.

 

Christopher came to software from the operations floor. Across more than a decade at Macy's, Ross Stores, Deliverr (now part of Shopify), Target, Walmart, Morgan Stanley, Johnson & Johnson, and Esquel Group, he worked in eCommerce fulfillment, store operations, and manufacturing, with training in Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma from the Lean Enterprise Institute. His focus throughout has been cutting waste, streamlining processes, and raising productivity, and time studies are his core discipline. Time & Motion Study is built on that experience: it was designed by someone who has held the stopwatch.

 

He has built three timer apps: Timer Machine, Timer Machine Pro, and Time & Motion Study. His book, Time & Motion Study: From Stopwatch to Smartphone, is available on Amazon in six language editions: English, German, Italian, Spanish for Spain, Spanish for Latin America, and Brazilian Portuguese.

 

Christopher is an alumnus of the Yale School of Management, the Asia School of Business (in collaboration with MIT Sloan), and Florida State University, and an affiliate alumnus of the MIT Sloan School of Management. In 2017 he completed the first Summer School on Cognitive Robotics at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). He holds the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) certifications from Scrum Alliance.

 

His goal with Time & Motion Study is simple: put a professional-grade time study tool for process improvement in the pocket of every operator and industrial engineer in the world — from stopwatch to smartphone.
